The Benevolence Ministry’s purpose is to attend to the needs of the needy in the Church and the community. This mission is accomplished by providing assistance in clothing, food to outsiders and monetary support to members only if funds are available after accessing their situation. This ministry is a sensitive one because it can be helpful and also abused if not managed properly.

The Benevolence Ministry could use such things as meal on wheels, where volunteers cook a meal each day and deliver it to the elderly and poor. This ministry should be evangelistic oriented. Records and food drives must be maintained on a continuous basis. A room must also be maintained for food and clothing. Goals need to be set for food collection, clothing, and other out-reach opportunities. The Benevolence Ministry is truly Christian love in action.

All members may serve in this area.
